LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #4PAYOUT OF ANNUAL VACATION
BETWEEN:
THE CROWN IN RIGHT OF ALBERTA
(The Employer)
- and -
THE ALBERTA UNION OF PROVINCIAL EMPLOYEES
(The Union)
The Parties agree:
1.
Notwithstanding Clause 37.12 of the Master Agreement, an Employee may request a payout of earned vacation up to the amount exceeding two (2) years of current vacation entitlements;
2.
An Employee who has been approved for an advance payment of group life insurance due to terminal illness may request a payout of all earned annual vacation.
3.
The request is subject to the approval of the Employer.
4.
This Letter of Understanding shall remain in effect as provided in Article 47 of the Master Agreement.
